Founded in Castellarano, in the province of Reggio Emilia, as a manufacturer of tile packaging solutions, in September 1967 Ariana was converted into a ceramics company and started specialising in the production of red body ceramic wall tiles. Year after year by engaging with new market demands, constant growth has allowed Ariana to be positioned as the reference brand in the sphere of medium to high level tiles. In 2000 the Ariana brand officially became part of the ABK Group, one of the most important Italian ceramics groups, strengthening its presence on the market thanks to the use of new production technologies and to the introduction of new formats. B for Bagno
Forever synonym of the Italian creativity and style associated with the world of ceramics, Ariana has, throughout history, been able to invent a thousand different ways to say bathroom. Alongside the more traditional lines, which draw on the classical repertory of Italian ceramic art, during the 80’s and 90’s the Castellarano brand gave life to decidedly innovative collections, also due to a lengthy collaboration with the designer Pierre Cardin. The famous 20x20s which characterise that period stand out for their expert attention to detail and for a playful use of shape and colour.
